i have a 1986 toyota camry, and i cant find any mesh rims that will fit it. im confused on the bolt patterns, and i want to know what the difference it makes from a 5x100 to a 5x114.. or any other 5x- pattern.

And if they dont fit, what do i need to do to make them fit?

round peg, square hole.

5 is the number of holes/studs. 100 is the spacing between the holes. You cant put a 5x114.3 wheel on a 5x100 hub without drilling new holes.

Keep looking. You'll find somehting you like...

they do make adapters from 5 x 114 to 5 x 100 or vice versa. Basically a spacer that converts the sizes. I think it would be more cost effective to just find a set of rims that fit your car because spacers can be fairly expensive.
