Just wanted to introduce myself, check out my instagram @doctajayy for my 2011 Infinit M37s with first custom ARK GRiP Exhaust, Dual xSB halos and LED strip, and custom work on AEM CAI intake system. Here are pictures of the progress so far! Let me know what you think!

Also i'm in Inland Empire, if anyone recommends a shop local to me i would truly appreciate who would be willing to work on my car who is Nissan/Infiniti certified!

Unfortunately the passenger side intake tube had a dent in it when coming the packaging. I contacted AEM and they said they could only give me $25 credit, so i just took what i could get and not fight it anymore.
--I'm actually trying to sell the intake kit (which originally fits the Nissan 370z [Nismo] due to the fact there is a dent. Its only a day old, and only has <50 miles on it. I'll ship everything that came with it, including CARB verification sticker and comes with license plate lining and alternating windshield fluid.
I bought the entire kit for $530, and really want to sell it.
PLEASE DM me on IG if your really serious about purchasing it, because i'm think of just going back to OEM!
---the gains on the intake kit is for sure noticeable!
cheers!

Looks good! What type of tips did this ARK echaust come with and was it pieced from a g37/370 or custom for the M37.

I really like how the headlights turned out. Was there much modification required to get the exhaust to fit? Was the exhaust originally off the G37 sedan?

Welcome to the forum sir. More details on the exhaust (including clips if you have any) would be awesome.

Thats nice! Pretty deep and loud on the 3.7. It would probably be screaming on a 5.6.

Thank you very much! I actually contacted ARK Performance and brought my car in to see if they would be willing to work on a fitment. They took my car for about a week to create a mock exhaust, and had to wait around 3 months to finally receive the first ever ARK Performance ARK GRiP exhaust for the M37!

No problem. When you post the next one let me know and I'll add it to this thread. It involves some instagram digging on the backend to get the URL since Instagram doesn't work with this forum.

I went with a semi-gloss blackout minus the shroud, dual xSB halos, xSB LED strip, and STI-R clear lenses. And additional sealant was added to prevent condensation and a stage 1 restoration was done.

If you want incredible work done on your lights, i highly recommend El Stig Garage out in Chino, CA. I went to him to get my lights done and have absolutely no regrets. (http://elstiggarage.com/)
^ Just say Jay with with the Infiniti M37 referred you and he'll give you the best price and work done on your lights!

Hey it's awesome that you reached out to Ark Performance and they were able to fit your car for an exhaust system. Maybe someone with an M56 located near Ark can reach out to them to get their 5.6L mocked up for their exhaust. doctajayy where Ark Performance located?

Thank you! I'm going to record a video of what it sounds like in the cabin, and then a video with a drive by so everyone can get a better sound!

Honestly I truly/highly recommend ARK Performance exhaust, they were super helpful in working with me in what i wanted and thankfully creating an exhaust that sounds and feel great.

I'm also in the IE (Rancho Cucamonga). We should get together some weekend so I can check out your exhaust.

Most bolt-on's parts like this only void the warranty of the part they replace, if that. Plus since they are bolt on they are easily replaced with the factory part if needed for major warranty claims. The reallity is unless the exhaust clogs and blows up the engine the dealer/manufacturer would not blame it for anything.

And if they did, the burden of proof would be on them per the Magnusson-Moss Act. They HAVE to prove that your aftermarket part caused a failure.

according to the law and on paper it is on them, however the reality is it is on the car owner unfortunately. The dealer can, and often will deny a claim is they feel there's a possibility of an aftermarket part affecting another component that failed.
You can quote them the M-M act but they can still say; 'no free repair for you'. What is one suppose to do then? The only recourse (aside from complaining to corporate, FTC and attorney general) is to pay for the repair somewhere else and then take them to court for a refund on the basis of them violating the M-M act. The point is, if the dealer denies a warranty claim, one must be prepared for a battle that goes beyond just quoting their obligations under the M-M act.

My concern is that since doctajayy's set-up cut off the factory Y and replaced it with a welded on X pipe(which is what I want to add to my Stillen set-up) violates some sort of warrant clause.

I agree, I've experienced a dealer attempt to deny a warranty claim despite zero hanky-panky on my part. It's a risk. I'm trying to determine the level of risk I am willing to take. I only have 7,000 miles on the car with many dealer encounters in my future. So tempting to go with an x-pipe...(because I "think" there will be gain in smile factor due to sound and perhaps a small HP gain). Worth the risk?

On the other side - my M45 has 174,000 miles and only warranty claim is the crack in radiator. I love these cars!

Before I installed my Stillen Cat Back I asked the manager of my local dealer and he said that it only voids the warranty if the modification can be connected with causing the warranty issue. It doesn't void the entire warranty just whatever repair you are having warranty work done on.

It will only void the warranty on the part you modify. If the dealer is a jerk they may use it to try and get out of a warranty catalitic converter or O2 sensor replacment, or something else in close proximity. As pointed out they would have to prove the X pipe was the cause. But if the possible HP and sound gains do not outway the possible hassle, or If you are really concerned with it, don't do it. Trust your gut.

I have 34k miles on my car and I have the stillen cat back myself and I am debating whether to do the Y pipes or not the only reason I really haven't done it is because I'm afraid it may get louder than I want and I have the uprev system pending installation which probably would add to the sound as well, but if you really want to do it do it and save the Y pipes incase of future unexpected issues.

I'd waste my time and sue the dealer not only for the repair but for anything else I could squeeze out of them. I'd love to see a dealer try to tell me my coilovers blew my engine. Or something.
