Basically what it said, is that because I submitted the latest document more than 60 days after the charge was filed, that I was SOL. Nobody bothered to tell me this in the many (many... MANY) phone calls with the CC company. They are now saying that I must contact the merchant... and the payment is due on the 7th. What a s*** month so far. Guess I'm calling Dobbs f**king Honda tomorrow.

yeah, I've been getting s*** on lately. Hello $3000+ credit card bill!!!
The other option is to just not pay it, and take a ding on my credit... or call and threaten that I'll drop the CC company. I have obnoxiously good credit, and have put a LOT of money through the card, so they'd be losing one hell of a customer. I'll probably try calling Dobbs first though.

Call Dobbs, pay the bare minimum to keep your credit score in good standing, and go from there.

well there's a bunch of other charges on the card. If at all possible, I'd pay them all separately, but I can't.

Just called the credit card company dispute department number (who then transferred me to the dispute department after asking me the same questions that the automated cyborg asked me?????) and told them to mail me back EVERYTHING I sent them. They asked why, and I said its because Citi bank did a s*** job of helping me, and accomplished nothing, but required the originals of everything, which I am now going to need should I have to go to court.

I then called Dobbs and got ahold of Donnie the service manager and asked him if he could point me in the right direction of who I should be talking to (I am well aware this is not his job, and out of his jurisdiction). He took my number and is going to be giving it to the general manager in the AM. He again informed me that Brady is no longer with them, and in fact Donnie is not going to be with them after tomorrow. He's moving to a different dealership in the Dobbs network. Hopefully the general manager remembers this case and will be cooperative.

General Manager never called me today. I wonder what he'll do now that all the people that were dealing with this are fired/have moved on.

General Manager didn't call me again today. Been too busy at work to call him, and been getting out kinda late, just gave him a call and he's already gone home for the day.

Just called the General Manager "Benny Akin" and explained the situation. He said Donnie didn't talk to him about it, and said "well it sounds like you don't have anything coming your way", but that he would talk with Donnie today. Didn't sound too promising... he didn't take down my number or anything.

I better be able to get all my original documentation back from Citibank, I foresee this ending up in court.

Also, I paid my $3322.05 credit card bill in full last night.

Good luck. I hope it works out for you.. Things like the reason this thread started is the reason I learned to work on cars in the first place.

Sounds like you should take them to small claims. With all of the turnover, they will probably have their heads up their asses and wont' have nearly the documentation that you will.

Might be the smartest move at this point. It would cost them less to pay out for everything now than to throw their own lawyers at this.

^ that's not always the case. A lot of times businesses like that just have full time lawyers on staff... like they pay them so much a year and the lawyer will just take care of whatever might come up, so its not like they'd have to pay any extra for something like this. Not that it matters, because they are at fault here.

It might be time to make a suggetion to Autoblog and the local "channel 10 problem solvers." Nothing like REALLY bad publicity to get to someone.

We'll see how much a lawyer costs first, and see what he says. If I can't get out of this without paying lawyers fees, or any more than what I was originally quoted (minus the cost of that f*** renal car which I paid for), then yes, a world of s*** will be brought upon Dobbs Honda once again.

They've seen the s*** storm you can produce about how much they suck from a single thread on a car forum with over 100,000 members. Are they really stupid enough to push you into bringing an entire news report down on them?
