This has never happened until today but everytime i park my car in the garage i keep it unlocked and every time i have gone out to it today it has been locked even after i unlock it, it is locked when i come back. Any idea if their is a button i hit that causes it to do this?

I first noticed this a while waxing mine. It locked, so I unlocked it then it locked again.Another time, I get to my car in the morning & go to unlock it at the door, & find I locked it.It seems to self lock more often then not. I couldn't find any reference to it in the owners manual. I'd like to know what triggers it too.

Mine doesn't do that. I leave it open at night and in the morningit's still open....is mine broken?

Most of my previous, modern, cars have self locked after a period of time though....so wouldn't be suprised if the AC did too, but if yoursall do, why doesn't mine?

i know that if you open the car with the button on the door and not open any doors in 30 secs it will automatically lock again, but i sure that has nothing to do with it

It's auto lock feature. The car automatically lock all doors after 5 minutes or so

Mine never autolocks. Does anyone's autolock when you are driving? Mine stay unlocked unless I lock it. Is this a programmable feature?

This is exactly how the sedan auto lock works, but not sure about the coupe.

If your car is already locked and you unlock it with the ikey, then after a minute or so the car will automatically lock itself.

If you ever disconnect your battery. You must have your dealer reset this feature for you.

Does anyone know the procedure to reprogram this? It can't be that difficult. Are the doors supposed to auto lock when driving?

The '08 models don't do it, only the '09's do....

If 09 can do it, then 08 can do it too. Take your car to your dealership and have them program this feature for you. Another way is you can buy some aftermarket modules like KP technologies. Everything cost $$$ of course !!!

Funny thing happened today. I was leaving home to go to work, I walked up to my car and unlocked the door by pressing the intelli lock on the door. Once I did this, I looked up and saw the mail man delivering the mail. So I walked over to the mail box, grabbed the mail. As I walked past my car, I heared a little click come from my car.....so I walk over to open the door......"the door was locked."

I have an '08 A/C and I have had my battery disconnected a couple times. I haven't taken the car to the dealer to have anything reset and this occured. I guess the car has this feature. If your car doesn't, it may need to be programmed just like the power up/down window feature. I'm sure that can be found online or by calling the dealership.

The 09's have auto speed sensing door locks....the 08's do not. It's not something your dealer can just reprogram. It's physical hardware that our car does not have.

This is a feature on most cars, where if you unlock it but do not open the door for a set amount of time, it will relock itself for protection - aka you might have accidently hit the unlock button on the FOB without actually wanting to. My old Focus used to do it, and my a/c does it too. But my a/c will not lock itself overnight if i just get out of it and leave it alone the rest of the night...

I wasn't talking about the speed sensitive lock, I was talking about the car locking on it own while it is parked and ignition off. The car may not lock on it's own after being driven for a bit then parked, it may do this if the car has been sitting for a while, you go up to the car, press the intelli lock on the door, get distracted somehow, walk away frm the car and it locks after a minute or so.

Whatever the matter is, it would be wise and smart to lock you car doors manually when you are away from it and not rely on the car to do it on it's own. If the '08's don't have the speed sensitive door locks, boo hoo, the door lock button is right next to you, move your hand 3-4 inches and lock it manually.

Guys, guys, guys...

The car will lock itself automatically if the intelligent key is not in the car.

If you are a lazy son of a gun and leave the intelligent key in your car, it will not automatically lock itself.
