Okay so you've decided you want to swap in a "skyline" motor into your s13/14. After all EVERYONE and their grandma have an sr (unless your in a large import town) and you want to shake it up a bit. Trouble is your finding RB's to be so expensive! Well rest assured my nico friends all is not lost. What if I told you you could have a COMPLETE RB20DET swap for 1300 shipped. Thats:

RB20DET Engine 5 Speed Transmission Uncut Wiring Harness ECU Igniter chip Coil Pack Intake Manifold Exhaust Manifold Alternator Cam-Angle Sensor Throttle Body Turbo Sensors Pulleys Starter Power Steering pump injectors

It gets even better though! These engines are mostly oem and if the aren't they are noted as so (for example there is an R33-25 listed online 2200).

These engines were pulled out of RUNNING motor vehicles and are compression tested.

Guys this company is trully a great one. I just purchased my RB20 from them and I have 2 buddies both running an RB20 and RB25 that have had 0 issues with their motors. These motors only have between 40-70k miles on them (my buds had 45k when he got it).

Here is a link to their website: http://www.japanmotorimport.com/

Check them out

EDIT: If you have used these guys feel free to comment on your experience with them. I am in no way saying any other company is not as good as these guys I just like their pricing a whole lot. A godsend for those of us with limited funds.

Most all motors are running when pulled

$1300 seems about right for a rb20, i have seen them for lessThe $2200 figure you pull out for the rb25det is about right also

I paid $2400 for my rb25det with rb25 transmission at a local shop where they started it right in front of me and offer warranty on everything, and its just a drive to go see them instead of unanswered emails

Hmm funny becuz ive always seen them for more... These guys answer emails and telephone calls quick. I guess you cant beat them starting it right in front of you but for those of us that dont have that luxury then I think this company has a good deal. They do give you a warranty. Its only 30 days but at least its 30 days from the time you RECEIVE the motor. You do get the transmission as well. That r25 wasn't stock I dont think. Why did it mention R33-R25 in the name?

Edit: They also sell skylines on the website.

Hmm, I'll have to check them out. I found a place to get my 26 for 2750 shipped but until I get it in and check it out to make sure I wasn't scammed, I'll keep the vendor to myself. But 1300 for a 20 is good.

Please be very careful dealing with engine importers from Montreal.

Do your homework people!

This link you posted seem like the people I got my HCR32 front clip for $2000.But my clip was clean and trouble free, and runs strong.

I know Osaka JDM Motors has bad rep. My $hit came from some where like St-Leonard, Quebec, CANADA or something. And I know I didnt order from Osaka.

Just make sure they got warranty, you you can return or exchange. Before you drop the coin.

Yeah I wouldn't have just recommended these guys if I hadn't known 3 people (including myself) that have used them with good success.

I bought my entire rb20 front clip for 1300 plus shipping from http://www.jdm-online.com/. Engine runs great and I had no problem dealing with them.

I looked at that company. Warranty for performance engines isnt as appealing as the one I listed. Plus I just like the fact that the one I listed seems more personal IMO. You find out about their buying practices and you can see the condition of housing facilities and so on and so forth.

I got everything you listed when I bought my rb20, with the relay box, and smic with all the piping (didnt use it but might someday) for 1120 but I had to go get it. spent bout 40 on gas. then ebay fmic and pipes. I made my own mounts and harness, so I've only got maybe 13-1400 in my swap... I like it, pulled pretty daggum hard till it broke the fins off the exhaust wheel. I've got an rb25 turbo on the way tho so no hard feelings lol.

When I go my 25 online from some Canadian company they said less than 50k miles, all parts needed, blah blah blah. I ended up spending 6 months finding everything that was wrong with it. The 50k miles on it, ya right, more like 100k or unless it was really beat on. I'm glad to hear someone had a good experience with a company, I wish that was the case for everyone

Ive bought atleast 3 swaps from Japanmotorimport and 2 from JDMSource and all of them were immaculate. Although 1 from Osaka was just ok. No issues but definately not as nice as the other companies

JHOT has some crazy deals from time to time. I bought my RB25 Motor Set from them for 1600 plus shipping. Was super clean when i got it and seemed to be a very well maintained engine.

JDM import isnt bad but they seem to come with less parts than the other companies (Japan motor imports come with PS and even sometimes the a/c compressor).
