Im in the market for some electric fans. This setup seems very cheap and budget friendly. My only concern in the reliability of the parts. WIll the motors last, and is that style of temp probe accurate to keep my engine alive?

The 2 of them stacked side by side is the perfect width for my rad, and installation seems quite easy if the wiring isnt to complicated.

What do you guys think?? Mind you this is going into a car with a total build budget of 3k. So money IS an issue. This just seems like the best deal for 3000cfm, thin design and an auto on/off at the desired temp

No just looking into converting to electric fans, the blades on my trucks oem fan are cracked quite bad, needs replacement. Why not "upgrade"

Just want to make sure its a reliable product, and if that probe method would work well in my application.

Am I wrong to think that is easy to wire aswell?

Back when I converted to electric fans, my idle would be horrible when I had my headlights on and at a stop.
So I changed back to the stock clutch fan + shroud setup.

That electric fan setup does not seem to come with a shroud, so it probably won't be much of an upgrade over stock.

I know that some companies sell more "efficient" clutch fans though, maybe you can look into some of those.

No it doesnt come with a shroud but is the exact length of my radiator unlike mt stock single 15" blade which only covers a small ammount of surface area and needs that shroud, and ALL that space it takes up

Engine bay looked alot bigger when I took the fan off for inspection and without the shroud. But thats besides the point

Im just unsure of the quality of the kit/relay and probe setup that it comes with

Never heard of Procomp, but that type of relay + probe setup is pretty easy to wire up.

How accurate is the probe though? As its not actually ever touching coolant, does it have to be placed on a vertain area of the radiator for best accurate results??

There doesnt seem to be much real world info on those probes that I can see people using them
