Hi... all.I had 3 black cars before. and I had bad experience.Although I purchased black Murano LE 2009 again !!!!

As you know, it is very hard to keep the outside color and glossy surface. So I am considering to do Coating work.

I asked dealership about it...they sad it cost will be $699 ... and they guarantee more than 3 year.I don't know what kind of coating they going to do..

My question is.what kind of coating I need to choose ?>And how much it will be ??

I just searched google about coating.Polymer coating / Teflon Coating / Glass Coating.I have no idea which one is which.

Please give me a some idear...Sorry for my broken English.

Have a nice day.

Most will tell you to not waste your money on a dealer applied $700 "wax" job...

If you do go that route find a reputable/good specialized vehicle detail shop that does this with a good product. I couldn't/wouldn't even attempt to recommend something. My previous 10 yrs in the automotive/dealership arena and being very close friends with a detail/specialty shop owner I can only say that near all of these are snake oil. Keeping the car clean and waxed regularly is all you really need. As you eluded to, black is beautiful yet a pain in the arse to keep looking that way.

Good luck with the black Mo yet I would research the net on what you seek - then find a good shop to apply it right... I could guarantee the car wash kid at the dealership would get the job and he could very well do more harm than good.

Good luck

Don't waste you money on dealership applied products, or even small detail shops unless you can get a really good deal (and even it's a good deal it makes you wonder what cheap product they're using). Even the highest quality pain sealer products only last a few months, 6 at the most, which isn't worth $700, or even $300. You can buy a tube of the stuff they use yourself, for lets say between 30 and 50 bucks, applying it takes no special skill and if you want to save time buy a little power buffer that you'll be able to use for the life of your vehicle for wax jobs and paint sealers, you can get one for around $100 or less depending on the size you get. So for a much smaller amount of cash you can get the EXACT same product and results, do it yourself and put your cash towards something else.

It's a BIG cash grab for the dealers, don't get fooled.
