Yeah, there's room on the dash for at least 4 or 5 REALLY BIG tachs. It's also preferable if each one light up in a different garish color and, for safety reasons, at *least* one must feature faux-carbon fiber.toki wrote:I like to keep atleast 3, usually 4 tachs mounted in my various lines of sight.
. Thats what happens when you live in a slow city. I rarely drive slower than the speed limit here, 45mph local mostly and 50mph in some local area, ie. the hill right before my house . Perfect for light to light drag since its pretty much straight and there is an island.Wraith wrote: I personally love my tach, seeing as the last two 240's owned in our household had bad digital clusters and HUD's in them. It was the only way I could gauge how fast I was going in town. Had to break out the white out literally and mark my tach for 40 and 55 due to couple of speeding warning while in the city LOL. Plus they are really nice when you like to set your idle . Finally broke down and bought a analog that now only half works .
Try ebay. I might look into getting one of these soon. 1st and 2nd gear go by rather fastSilvia007 wrote:The only thing I like from aftermarket tachs is the shift light. Anyone know if there's a shift light without the gauge?
the tach signal is a different voltage from a SOHC motor to a DOHC. Easy solution. Use a DOHC tach.Doomed2Walk wrote:I thought when doing non SOHC KA swaps in the 89-90, tach doesn't work b/c speed sensor? Bah, I don't know jack about S13s, I'm probably just talking crazy.
i've never had a problem with looking at my stock tachcorn322 wrote:I big one on the dash would be a lot easier to read by just a glance at it, rather than looking around the steering wheel to see the stock one.
go to ebay and search for: shift lightjdmfreak wrote:Any links to the ones that have the shiftlight w/o the guages.
