I tried LEDs at first, but Radioshack sucks.. they are wayyyy too dim. I will do some super bright LED's in a couple days [have to take it apart again because I funked up the tach and now it shows im idling at 2500rpm.. before it said 0rpm so it's better I guess =p]

It's just red plastic wrap o_OGhetto? Yes Cheap? YesWorks? Yes <--- All that counts

:)I will have LEDs in there soon and it should give it a nice crisp clean red :)

don't see much difference... except for red needles...

my lil bro did a similar thing w/ his 91 eclipse... i told him to concentrate on preventative maintenance, ie, trans fluid/filter change, & the impending timing belt change 1st.

Bah, he went & got new speakers, head unit, subwoofer, capacitor, strut bars... i talked him outta putting a wing on his car.

Hahahaha awesome =) Yeah Radio Shack LEDs are a little sub par....ultra brights ordered online are amazing, as long as you know how to solder a simple circuit you're good to go!

Hmmms are these the same ones? They seem somewhat similar lol...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...1%3A2

If you remember who you got them from or what type they were I'd appreciate it, the stock gauge faces seem realllly dim these days, and I'd love the slight upgrade. Also they should fit on a 93 right? I don't know the differences if there are any.

Im so l33t it was soldered into the base for the stock light so it would fit perfectly ;)

But you could barely see a pink glow from it so I was like bleh.. come here plastic wrap..

gounc get aim or somethin.. my s/n is fuzi0n69Those aren't the same ones I purchased..

89-90 Gauges: 115MPH speedo & redline is @ like 6.591-93 Gauges: 110MPH speedo & redline is @ 7k

The link u posted is for the gauges I saw but did not like.. I don't like the huge glowing portion in the middle, that's why I got rid of my previous ones [they were just standard indiglo if anyone wants to buy em].

Ricebike.. that would be the point my friend, red vs the white needles [I also set the gauges to blue, which I thought they were on, so it looks more blue now and not so much blue-green]

procarparts.com has the gauges I purchased.. here are a few different ones for 91-94 (they also have 89-90 & 95+)

I have yet to try one of those go active meals.. They got rid of the supersize meals, then their CEO or something died.. guess they are figuring out their non-beef "beef type" hamburgers are bad for j00 o_O

even better for LEDs...we have some at work (Autozone) for $10 (or $8 with my discount if any of you want some)

These come 3 to a pack, and come with wiring and the resistor already wired into them

We have red, blue, white, purple, uh...a few other colors, and also one that changes between 7 different colors.

Like i said if anyone wants them, i can get them on discount, but it probably wouldn't be worth it once shipped unless they were bought in bulk.

I will try to post a pic soon so you guys can get an idea of what they are....I used them to light up the Xbox logo on my Xbox

Although I drove a BMW for a while, I'm not a big fan of red gauges. Though since you've already turned them red, at least they are easy to read. I've seen some guys do gauges, where things like the LCD clock become impossible to read.

i done some of those on a 03 eclipse b4 .. i dont know where the jerk got the leds from tho .. but it required the needles to be removed then with nail polish remover i striped the paint .. i then got a cardboard and sprayed some white paint on it .. then gently applied the paint to the top side of the needle and then i had to glue the damn leds under the needles ... was a freeken pain .. looked nice when i finished .. but id probably not go through the experiance again .. i think changing a clutch is more fun .. :P

i'm confuse by the refrence to the plastic wrap in this thread?

i'm assuming the proparts faces change colors like a faze gauge? is this correct? there discription is vauge at best.

Like a faze gauge? Although I don't know what you're talking about, these are pretty standard reverse glow gauges, the gauges are white with the purplish letters at day, and when you switch on your headlights/running lamps, you get the black background with blue/red letters...

Like.. holy **** this is alot of food, i better put some plastic wrap over the plate and stick it in the fridge.. red ghetto plastic wrap until I find some nice bright LEDs.

gounc - mine are silver + blue during the day, then blue/red lettering @ night
