VW makes the worst cars. WAY worst then fords. I'm yet to see a jetta(i think jetta is german for dodge neon) on it's original transmission at 80k miles. Same with passats. And these are unmodified vehicles. Mostly driven by women. Everyone that i know that owns a VW hates them. They are in the shop way more then they are on the road.
