I changed my head gasket and now I'm losing coolant and can't fuking find where it's going. I'm not over heating, no white smoke, oil is fine, rad not leaking can't find any wet spots. replaced thermo. I drive it like 10 miles and it will lose half the over flow bottle and the rad will be low to I can see the top of the inside of the rad fill and fill bottle, drive and presto chang-o the fluids going I've been racking my mind for a week with this I just want to drive my car. please need some help...

it may only be leaking when its up to operating pressure.

prolly one of those annoying a** pin hole leaks.

well that might be cause it only seems to vanish when it's running but I'm losing like a third of a gallon. But I ran it today for like 2 hours and barely lost anything which is a big relief for me seing as I've put about half a gallon in. I think it was some air pockets seems to be getting better. I never bleed it right when I changed the head gasket. Hopefully I'm right we'll see the next couple days.

might be you had a nasty air pocket in your system that has finnaly reachd the rad man...if the coolant leaks end..then your ok..if not..run it till its at operating temp..leave her running and p[op the hood to investigate.

get it up to temps and drive it down the block once. Open hood and find what problems are viewable.

Well I think the problem has been solved. I;m not losing coolent. well I'm losing a tad bit so I'n pretty sure it's a pin hole leak some where. but it's onl when I run a pressure. I just go the car and I'm clean the rest of the engine and the bay. so I'lll let you know if I lose it agian. hopeful not all ?I have off is the upper intake. hopefully the lines up there that I removed won't cause air pockets.

check your clamps again...once I was loosing coolant...turned out it was leaking a minuscule amount from the thermostat housing>>lower radiator hose seal and was evaporating before it could pool :o. gl
