Does any body know what or why there is the trapezoid-color-coded patch just in front of the rear wheels? They're kindda hard to see unless you look at that area carefully.

It's suppose to protect from debris that flies out from your wheels.

I took them off.

Doesn't look good on my Satin White. It is somewhat difficult to take off.

How would that patch help "protect from debris that flies out"? First, if anything's gonna fly out from the wheels it's gonna fly back, not toward the front. Second, that patch does not block anything, the fender actually "blocks out" the patch if any debris "flies" forward. But, if that's what Nissan engineers were thinking, they should apply the whole front bumper and hood for that matter because those areas get chipped from flying debris wayyyyyyyyyy too easily.

It's to protect that area from debris kicked up from the front tires. Since that particular area flares out, it will catch more crap.

I agree. They look so bad on my white. How did you remove them? I asked about them like a week after I got my car at the dealer... and the service advisor just told me not to remove them.

remove them carefully, you don't want to damage the paint.

I hate those giant stickers. When I took them off, the dealrship told me to use a blowdryer, heat it up and peel it off so no residue was left behind. I did that with the first one and there was a wad of adhesive still stuck on there. So on the next three i just picked it off with my nails and peeled back. No residue left.

i'm sure nissan put them there for a reason!

they did a crap job on mine, i think on my passenger side they didn't align it with the contour of the side skirt and part of it is hangin off and collecting dirt underneath

I just peeled it off with my finger and buffed it out when I washed my car. Its terrible how disguisting they become on a white car
