hey guys ,, i figured i would turn to you guys about this.....(let me change that THESE ) problems that im having....well here is the list. any suggestions welcome....

car is a 1995 240sx......stock except for exhaust and intakehas 220,000 miles on it so i know its gonna be a b*tch

Have changed the Plugs, Wires, Dist. Cap and Rotor, Belts, Alt. and Had Replaced A MAF due to when changing the belts arm bumped the harness and ripped the wire out....also fixed wire.

Problems:

1. When i bought the car it ran completly fine....two days later i went to change the belts and thats is when i had ripped out the MAF wire....and fixed that but ever since then the car has never ran well..Car starts up and does not run very well....when I give it just a little and i mean like barely stepping on the gas it revs up fine...if i give it any more it boggs a little and revs up.....the more gas i give it initally off of idle the harder it boggs....if i give it full throttle from idle car preatty much dies just goes pop pop pop pop until i let off and then it returns to normal. When I advanced the timing with the dist. all the way as far as it can go the idle is bouncy but when i give it full throttle i reacts fine....but when coming to a stop i have to play with the throttle so that it wont die on me....not all the time it dies but sometimes...but that just kinda bandaided the problem of throttle response for me to drive around without it bogging out. I currently have the timing back to factory 18* BTDC

2. EGI fuse has never been in the car since i bought it around 3 years ago...When I put a fuse in that spot the car will not turn off when i turn the key and can pull the key completely out and walk away.....car just kinda putts but wont turn off.......with the fuse not in there the car will turn off normally..

No check engine light

I figured I'd ask you gus cuz I'm just completely lost right now and tired of thinking for myself ......so please help....Thanks ahead of time

due to the problem only happening after you replaced a maf and repaired a wire, id say to double check your work on the wire. Specifically what wire are you talking about and where? outa the harness plug?also, if you replaced it with a used MAF, id clean it with alcohol and see if it changes anything, it could be a bad maf.Id get a good light, a six pack, and wiring diagrams and go to town on your car. specifically look for anythin that doesnt look like factory wiring. did your car have an alarm installed? and check the wiring under the fuse box. pop off the bottom if you have to.hope that atleast gives you a place to start

the wire on the MAF sensor harness plug right on the MAF...i think its the signal wire the one closest to the pass. side...it actually pulled right out of the terminal so i had replaced the terminal and about 3 inches of wire..soldered connections so that its not just taped.........

it was a used MAF and i did clean it twice and it must be good cuz it runs the same and when i put the old one on the car the car doesn't work...

there was no alarm on the car factory/nor aftermarket...

i just went to my grounds last nite and cleaned them all up real nice and still no difference....but i'll check everything out later tonight

K so i went through just about the entire car last nite and dont see anything odd with wiring.....also checked the computer for codes and the only code it showed was 55 meaning no failure/no codes.......so still lost of what the problem could be......

could it be the cat clogged and acting like this ??
