Post

I have been seraching multiple forums and have yet to find a definite answer.

I have a 95 base model 240.

I have access to a complete J30.

I know the LSD swaps over, but what about

the 5 lug swap, will the front and back work? If i take the Spindles will it swap over?!

ok if not i have a second option, This guy is selling a R33 subframe along with complete suspension and brakes.

Can i take the spindles and brakes off that and swap it over? do they sell new rotors for R33 brakes in the US? or is it the same as 300ZXs i heard R33 brakes are even bigger, is it worth 500?

IF you got any info on the J30 brake swap and 5 lug swap and or the R33 swap. PLEASE HELP!

THANKS

Ok...J30 brakes(same as Q45) and LSD will bolt up to a 240sx (after swapping the back cover to the 240's) as well as the brakes from r33 and 300zx tt(same calipers) there are a ton of directions on how to get the 300zx calipers on your 240....you don't have to swap spindles at all because they are all the same size where the CV's slide in and one from a different car may screw up the way your car handles

I'll give you another option, q45 calipers will bolt right up to the 240 with no changes to anything. you will have to cut the metal piece behind the rotor to get a bigger rotor to fit in there and that will get you 30% more braking power and just as much braking power as any of the other brake swaps you are considering. and use the stock rear brakes. screw the 5-lug swap, it's really not needed, and a waste of money. just get your rotors redrilled at a machine shop to 4x114.4 and

Hey you guys with access to complete J30's... I need J30 parts!! My wife's car needs the driver side headlight. I'm looking for a front passenger door skin (interior) in tan- hers is scuffed and torn where someone had their arm out the window too much.

It also needs a dark green hood, left front fender, and front bumper.

I'm in Altanta... let me know if you have J30 parts I can use.Thanks!!MichaelFTL900 at yahoo.com

OK thanks buti dont have a Q45, i can either get r33 front brake set up for 500 or J30 front brakes for under 100. Which is better for the price? are the rear brakes on a J30 worth taking?

THANKS

the fronts are where most of your braking power is located anyway. If you're planning on upgrading brakes, the fronts are the place to start.

j30 if you're on a budget and r33 if you don't want to upgrade again later on if the j30's aren't sufficient.

r33 gts-t calipers are the same as z32 so I would think $500 is high.

If they are the R33 GTR calipers/rotors then they are smaller brembos and worth the $500.

R32 and Z32 are the same, R33 GTS calipers have larger pistons than R32 GTS and Z32. And R33 GTS brakes have larger rotors.
