I couldn't find a way to change the color of my gauges, so I found a way to deal with it.... Its very simple actually, I simply removed the gauge cluster lens and tinted it. The interior of your 06,07 Infiniti M is very simple, it is all snap together. Just lower your steering wheel and telescope it out and remove the wood or aluminum trim from either side of the steering wheel, by prying it up with a flat screwdriver with something soft to protect the car. Then just pull the gauge surround down from the top, then out. Finally remove the lens by pushing down on the tabs on the top then pulling it out. Then tint it... how ever you like, I used 35% and I'm probably going to change it darker to 20%. I really like it and it makes the 'orange' color more tolerable until someone comes out with a color changing LED kit. And if someone knows about one let me know. Thanks, and good luck! Don't be scared its really easy just be careful.

I personally think Orange is what makes the M stand out. I love it the way it is. Just my $.02

To each their own. That's for sure ...

FWIW, I like the gauge colors on my 2003 M45, but I can see people wanting to tone it down a bit.

I like to know if the gauges on the 08 would work also. So I will stay tune.

I meant to look into this but ran out of time.

I will see if two cars with the same options will have compatible combination meters.

I am not sure what the price is the online parts catalog doesn't show 08Ms since I don't think there is a demand for it yet.

Since they are basically the same I would think that they would be. Although there are CAN lines that connect to the combination meter and cutting the harness is not recommended.

Just my opinion..

But when I first saw the 2006 M45 at the Tampa Auto show 2 1/2 years ago. It was in a dark room. They had all the interior lights on, and i remember seeing all the orange cluster lights and thinking.. very classy.

Now..the white clusters of the 2008 are very nice too. But i certainly don't hate the ornage clusters.
