Both of them we can get for about $600. We don't have a gragage as well.

Truthfully I got my rustproofing package because I liked the anti corrosion warranty that came with it. My father is a metallurgical engineer, and he says it should work too. I would say go for it

I was not presented with this option when purchasing my 1.6. What is it? I mean what is the product and process used?

I have the sub, I like it and adds just enough extra base for me in a DD.

I have both on my V. I wouldn't get a new car without the rust proofing and sound deadening packages as they are inexpensive and really protect the vehicle, especially if you plan on keeping it past warrenty. As for the upgraded XM/sound/bluetooth package.....I personally love it, the sound is not "Stupid" loud and irritating, just borders on perfection for driving and XM satellite is amazing for long trips especially through the mountains. Bluetooth is Wow and a must have option for every future vehicle I own. My advice.......get 'em both!

I'm surprised they did not offer it to you. Did you buy your Versa new? After the deal had been made is when they talked to us about the extended warranty. I added on the extended warranty so I went with the 7 years/120000 km warranty which included sound shield, rust proofing, fabric protection, and paint protection.

The rust proofing you can get done at other places. I used to get my previous car oil sprayed every year or every other year. It helps protect your car against rusting. Also the sound shield adds a level of protection to help with road noise. It's a good feature.

Yes, I must agree the tech package was not something I really wanted at the time, I simply added it because I had to in order to get the sport package (fogs/sunroof). But now I LOVE it and am glad it came with it. Bluetooth is my new best friend. My friends are always wowed when they see / hear it as there more expensive cars don't have it! haha!

Yeah I bought my V new. There was no mention of sound proofing and sound deadening. Can someone post up pics of these things? I understand what they are I just want to see it on a versa.

Really is sad they don't just come this way. My 99 G20 had probably 200lbs of sound deadening and rust proofing crap all over the car.

lol, yes. were you the one that sold me the warranty? 3 years on a car is not very long i definitely like the comfort in knowing i'm covered for a longer period of time.

MY dealer never offered me any upgrade packages, come to think of it... I ended up coating the underside of my car with 3M sound deadening rustproofer (basically a spray-on rubber-like substance). I did this because this same process prevented my 2004 Frontier from developing surface rust on the frame and underside, which seems to occur on those quite frequently. What are the warranty terms/duration for the rustproofing package, and who honors it?

modern cars are extremely well protected from rust and corrosion. Dealers push that extra "protection" as a huge profit center. Do not waste your money.

I'd disagree with you on this. If you happen to live in eastern Canada or the US the road crews tend to use a lot of salt on the roads to keep them clear in the winter time, same goes for the mountain passes in western Canada. Even though the modern cars are quit well protected from the factories, More protection will help to add the little extra. Also the undercoating really helps to quiet the road noise. Just my opinion.
