here in canada gas was 90.2 in toronto yesterday...compared to $1.30 a few months ago.

I always drove as much as i needed, didnt let gas prices stop me, but i probably will find more excuses to drive now.

Its terrible that were saving money and killing the environment at the same time. I had my era were id do best to be good to the environment, but lately, with everything that i see, ive become so damn cynical that i think we might as well use up the 500 year supply of gas we do have as soon as possible so that the gas monkeys are screwed.

It cost me $35 to fill up from half tank. in the summer it was over $50.

I bought a small pack of little cigars and some chocolate bars and still only spent $45.

that means all summer someone ELSE has been eating my candy and smoking cigars

ahh well, they cant take my girl and they cant take my q so eat it!

Well, in my area, a local grocery store has a program with several gas stations around where you spend $50 bucks on groceries, you get a discount of 10 cents off per gallon of gas. Best part is that the discount can add up over time - the other day it had added up to $1.90/gallon off and I filled up for less than a dollar!

As far as the limited supply of oil and the future of the internal combustion engine, I'd say it still looks good. Even if today someone were to invent a new, enviro-friendly, fuel-efficient engine, what would we do with the millions of gasoline and diesel engine vehicles currently in use?

I *am* driving it around a lot more nowadays, but that's because the men's league hockey seasons have started and not because of the gas prices. What can I say... my teams can't play without a goalie, now can they?

I'm not going to let high gas prices stop me from doing what I like. It *might* convince me to get a second, fuel efficient vehicle (or motorbike!) for the summer. But in the winter, it's going to be all Pathy, all the time.

The economy isn't some simplistic entity. It's almost like a living organism, healing itself. Gas prices might get amazingly high or drop stupidly low for short periods of time, but they'll come back. Or salaries will adjust. Or whatever. We'll always be able to afford gas.

I drive about the same but what surprised me was a story they did on the news on sales of vehicles in Toronto where SUV sales dropped drastically a few months and now....their sales went up..LOL..with the fall in the price of gas..

I drive about the same.

I do save a lot on gas from $60 to $45 for 16 gallon.

I drive any average of 275 miles each week.

The last few fills I've noticed the hit on gas mileage during the winter has already begun. From 19MPG in mixed driving to 16-17MPG.

Lower gas prices, lower gas mileage. It all evens out.

Filled up today at 81.4 cents/litre. Great. Haven't seen it that low in years. If it keeps dropping, I might even switch back to premium gas.LOL.As for my driving, I'm not driving more distance, but I've noticed my right foot is getting heavier again. I'm back up to 120-130 Km/hr on the highway, as opposed to keeping it at 100 like before. I also tend to hit it more when the light turns green. My gas consumption has gone up a little as a result. Still, it's cheaper to fill it up than before, so it's a wash.Happy motoring.
