Do you think spraying stuff into the combustion chamber is good?? Also, would it better to spray it through the intake rather than the PCV, or is both ok???

Also, where do you get MCCC???

You really need to remove the air hose between the TB and MAF and look into the held open TB and Plenum with a flash light..9 out of 10 times the system will be so dirty that you will see why just spraying some solvent won't do much.

Lots of elbow grease and rags will be needed till its spotless that way the spray won't just move the dirt down towards the runners and make matters worse in the cylinders.

What dealers do at 60k [clean and spray the TB] is good but hardly sufficient.

If you want it to run like new it better be as clean as new......there is no easy way around the physical work.

There are not any easy vacuum hoses that feed into the plenum at exact spots where atomization would be complete and equally distributed to all cylinders. The problem with heavy solvents is they quickly fall out of suspension and puddle on the bottom..........creating a river of gunk at the bottom.

As the miles build and the blowby/stem seal leak increases the amount of dirtiness just increases. What was an easy job at 60k, becomes harder and more frequent at 120k and serious at 180k and a daunting task by 240k.

Currently I am cleaning some part of the system every 15k, once per year.

Once you get a PERFECT idle you begin to notice little quivers and know its time to wipe the TB clean again.

I know the proper procedure is to take off the plenum... But can it be cleaned by reaching inside, with the TB off??

Depends on the size of your hand and what special chimney sweep tools you design and build.

AZhitman claims he can do it. I'll believe it when I see it! Seems a toilet bowl brush might do a good job inside the plenum cavern if you got one long enough. Don't go taking the one from the bathroom. The wife will take it as another sign of where the car ranks on the totem pole of your life. Not sure why he changes the oil after driving around the block. I wouldn't want that stuff circulating in my car at all.

I have long skinny arms..... Is there anything that can be damaged in there, or can i just have a hayday in the plenum :D ? Also, can you put something down the "legs" of the spider to clean that out, and how far down does it go?

I had good luck with my double-jointed, skinny arms and a few cleverly-designed "scrubbers", basically some flexible metal (like the kind used to clean a musical instrument) and some shop rags (wired to the metal shafts)...

I can reach each of the lower runners - You can also "spin" the shop rag (soaked with cleaner) while feeding it down each runner - Repeat until the rag returns clean.

Followed it up with one of the "fogger" cleaners (run through a vacuum line), then ANOTHER with an extension so I can insert it into each runner individually.
