Do the M37's have a DVD player?

Hello,

I have a 06 M35x I am very happy with! I am thinking of upgrading to a M37 2011+, in the near future.

On my M, I have the DVD in the center console, and did the NAV by pass, and can watch a DVD while vehicle is in motion.

Do the M37's have a DVD player?

Any reason why I should get a newer model then a 2011? Is there any great features that is added on a 12 or 13 model which isnt on an 11?

I think the one I am looking at has:

heated steering wheel, speakers in the head rests, I think it has the white ash trim, what packages would or could it be missing? and how do I tell?

Q: Does the 2011 Infiniti M have an available rear DVD player? I've seen some Infiniti M models with a rear roof DVD player. Is this an aftermarket item?

A: The 2010 Infiniti M models did offer a rear DVD player with a roof-mounted 8-inch screen, but the redesigned 2011 M37 and M56 do not. Infiniti says it also does not offer a DVD player on the 2011 M as a dealer-installed accessory and that it is not aware of aftermarket units.

The 2011 M Premium Package — standard on the M56 and a $3,350 option on the M37 — includes the ability to play DVDs on the dashboard-mounted screen for the navigation system, though the transmission must be in Park to use that feature.

If you look around, you may find an aftermarket rear DVD player that could be installed in an M, though that would likely involve serious surgery to the rear roof and entertainment system. Also keep in mind that a screen that deploys from the roof will obscure the driver’s rear view. As an alternative, you could try an iPad and a car holder like the one KickingTires recently reviewed.

my 2011 M37 has the DVD player. And same as in your 06, it will not display video unless the parking brake is applied (it will still have sound though).

I was watching a DVD a couple of weeks ago in the store parking lot while wife ran inside to pick up an item (which can take her 30 minutes for 1 item), and after 25 minutes a warning came up on the display saying my battery was getting low so car was powering down the player. Neat.

The touring package has DVD you can usually tell by the lighter wood grain and the seat pattern

My 2011 M56s has the DVD player in dash. I want to do that bypass feature but not sure where and how much it would cost around raleigh-durham area.

I did that bypass on my 06 M35, and I love it, its great.

Does the 11 M37x have illuminated door sills?
