for one they don't work like that, when you see the clear lights like that they are whole new tail light assemblies there are a few samples on EBAY but from what we have heard here on the forum is that they don't fit quite right.....BunnyBunnutty wrote:Ok something has GOT to be wrong here.... Why can't I find JUST TAIL LIGHT COVERS for the Versa ANYWHERE???!!! Every place has tail LIGHTS kits out the whazoo, but I don't want or need to do anything TO THE LIGHTS, I just want to TAKE THE RED PLASTIC COVERS OFF and put WHITE/CLEAR ON.
hello??? you no help bunny, seniorrrrrrrrrrrrr?
Seriously, please give me some sort of buying source for the covers, if you know of any. Thanks.
CodeRed you n00bie! read his post lol, he wants clear lensed tails! HAHAHACodeRed wrote:If you buy those you will be hated by every Versa owner on this forum. Just thought I would let you know. Back to the main topic, most company's sell bulk film. you apply it like normal (soapy water then squeegee out the excess) then just trip off the extra film. I think its easy. ORRRRR if your super lazy you can stop by out sponcer's website and buy pre tinted professionally done OEM lights. IMHO they are really nice!

I doubt you can unseal the taillights, they are made by Hella as are the headlights, that was why we can't use the oven trick on the headlights either. Hella is anal when it comes to sealing and they use silicone. Same thing with new BMW headlights, PITA to open up. You would have to figure out a way to open them without ruining them like I figured out with the headlights.Ever Victorious wrote:Well, the tail light units are sealed units. They CAN be unsealed and resealed, but most companies are either not going to bother unsealing/resealing, or aren't going to do it because there's too much liability for the lenses leaking afterwards.
There is a tutorial on the portal page on how to smoke your lenses, if that's what you're looking for.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish, anyway?
