Well im sure most of you guys read my previous thread about my 02 Q started knocking after 2k miles on denso iridiums and that the piston was hitting the plug which was notice after removing the plug. The plugs could have been installed incorrectly (highly doubt). After doing some research about my options i thought i needed a rebuild or another motor which would have been $$$$$$$$$. I decided to change to the plugs with some NGKs and that solved the problem. I only changed the one on cylinder #8 because that was the one giving problems. I then drove the car for about 30 mins and it stopped so today im going to replace the rest of em. Hope this helps for future refference.

Well known by knowlegeable board members that non-specified spark plugs can cause fatal damage to Nissan engines.

All who haven't should read the previous posts where this is discussed thoroughly, and read the FSM. Using "mechanics" or unspecified parts willy-nilly is a sure way to be confronted with monetarily painful decisions.

Only owners and untrained uneducated mechanics can truely destroy an engine properly!
