Do not buy anything from JGY Customs. I ordered an S13 front end conversion from them and got screwed. First they charge $850 ( way too much) but a friend said he could pick it up so I ordered from them. He then said he wouldn't be able to pick it up so I called them back and asked if I could cancel the order. This was 2 hours after the order had been placed. I even offered to pay any credit card fees that they may have been charged. Jason ( I guess the owner ) said I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. I asked why scince he had told me the items wouldn't be pulled from stock for 3 days. He said that he wasn't going to talk to me about it(in a very smart @$$ way), that is just the rule. I can understand rules so I agreed and had it shipped to me (over $1100 including shipping). Jason told me the one I got was off of an employees car so it had some custom work and that I would be really happy with it. The hood was louvered (looks really nice) and it came with the turbo bumper rather than non turbo bumper. I asked the condition of everything and he said it was in good condition. "Needs to be painted, but it all looks good" is what I was told. He said one fender had a small crack in it. When it got here I was very unhappy. The bumper was BROKEN in 3 places and the fenders were so dented they were cheaper to replace then repair. Also there were no headlight brackets. I called to explain the problems and was told that it was my problem, not his. I asked if he thought that he should have informed me that the bumper was broken before shipping and he said "no, because you got a special hood and you were not a very good customer". All because I tried to cancel the order. He said I should take it and have it fixed. I argued a little and sent him some pictures. Later I recieved some headlight brackets in the mail. I called to ask about everything else, and his secretary said she had a message for me..."NO REFUND". I explained that I didn't want a refund, just my parts replaced. Jason would not take my calls or call me back, so I mostly talked to his secretary. After I threatened to file a law suit he through his secretary) finally offered to sell me a non turbo bumper at his cost plus shipping, but he couldn't get another turbo bumper because they are "too rare". During this conversation she made a derogatory remark about Asian people, which offended me because my girlfriend is Chinese and my stepmom is Thai. i asked why I should have to pay more because of his mistake, but got no answer to that. His secretary then called back and said that they couldn't get just a bumper, they had no intention of doing anything about the fenders, and that she was sorry, but they weren't going to do anything at all. So I have decided to let everyone no how they operate. I have included a picture of the major break in the bumper, and will send pics of anything else you want to see if you PM me. I dont like being screwed by people and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. They have nice parts, but the main problem is that the owner is a jerk. I got a replacement bumper from another supplier, they had the turbo bumper in stock, and it looks great. If anyone wants one of these call venus-auto. This is the 3rd front end I have gotten from Venus and they all looked good, not to mention they only charge like $600 + shipping. Thank you for reading all of this to anyone who finishes it. Sorry for such a long post, but a business can't screw over it's customers and expect to survive. Feel free to pm me if you want anymore info or pics. By the way, I am not a kid who is just angry, I am a 25 year old MBA student and I do not take things like this lightly. E-commerce is an important part of our economy now, but if companies are dishonest then people become hesitant to buy off the net and it creates quite a problem. I am in the process of filing suit against them and they have been reported to the BBB.

Sorry to hear that dude. That really sucks! I have never ordered from them, but now I'm definetly not going to. I hope everything works out for you in the end. JoshP.S. By the way that bumper is screwed, not worth fixing at all. I can't imagine how you felt when you opened it up. Good luck.

No matter who you are companies shouldn't be allowed to get away with stuff like this. Good luck with the lawsuit. Hopefully you'll get enough out of it to pay for lawyer fees and the parts you didn't really recieve at the very least.

EDIT: haha... I didn't read the whole thing before replying.. so disregard the BBB since you have already done so...

contact BBB....

then try to resolve the matter with them..

if that doesn't work then tell everyone you know about it.... that will help.

OH,

and if you paid with a credit card... then you are in luck...

dispute the charges with your credit card company....they will definetly listen to you then.

Keep all the documents and conversations with them as a record. What your CC company will do is fight for you with JGY....

it definetly works in your favour...take detailed pictures, do not install the front end, let it sit there...

Make a claim on BBB first, see if they can resolve the matter... if not then dispute the carges right away..

JGY is normally hit or miss. A friend of mine bought an SR from them and it was in pretty piss poor shape. On new items they are usually really good though.

My friend bought some motor mounts for his g20 from them. He installed the first two, but didn't do the last one so he would be able to drive it to school(I think). It turned out that one of his new motor mounts broke... and they replaced it for free.

He had a good experience with them... at least you can always count on our long time sponsors.

Follow the above reccomendations and if that still does not work. Sue them. Seriously. That is a very bad business practice.

Thats horrible to hear. Bad businesses should be weeded so good hard working people don't loose their money and have to go through this hassle. Good deal with Venus-Auto coming through for you.

yeah... if you use a nico sponsor, not only will you get a good product, you will be supporting NICO in the process.

+ if anything was to ever go bad with a NICO sponsor, i am very sure the NICO staff will do something to help you, as far as talking to the sponsor, and dropping them if they do not fix what they messed up.

but i doubt you would ever recieve anything bad off from a sponsor here..

good luck with everything man

Wow, that's just horrendous. I hope no one ever goes there again....

No one from JGY is a member of NICO, right?

Anyway, where ya going for your MBA? I'm going to start studying for the GMAT's this weekend, I figure I'll take them in a few months.

That is why I always buy from our sponsors. I have checked internet prices before and asked one of our sponsors to match a price I found cheaper some where else. They did it with no problems! Not to mention they sponsor this wonderful place we call NICO!!

I've heard ABSOLUTELY nothing but bad news/stories about JGY. Even my subaru buddies refuse to buy from them because of their pathetic business acts. And i can promise that they'll never recieve a cent from me after hearing something like this. Good luck with the lawsuit, I hope you bury them...

Thats not a turbo bumper, its a Factory Aero bumper. They much more expensive and more rare than either the turbo or the non-turbo bumpers. Still, its is pretty unexcusable the way they treated you and it is very poor buisness practis to lie to a customer about what they are selling.

All I can say is WOW. After reading all of the link that RobDET posted, I am flabbergasted. 99% of the stuff they did was so off the wall bad, they must have TRIED to make it that bad on purpose.

It's kinda hard to mess up on shipping out parts. I think the focus here is really on their craftsmanship (or lackthereof) and poor excuse for customer service. Here is an OLD *** email and the response I got from them a while ago when I was shopping for motors...

====================================================**My email** -- Would you be able to provide compression test results on the motor before it is paid for and shipped?

====================================================**JGY's response** -- no, also, we offer no warranty implied or expressed on any used parts we sell. We do our best to choose a motor that you will like, but there is always risk.

I'm really confused by your post 400whps13coupe. Mainly bc it doesn't make sense to me and then also there's the fact that this thread was last posted to almost 4.5 years ago lol.

Dude please edit that paragraph, its too big, hard to read and hurts my brain.

But why didn't you search here first. Horror story after horror story have been posted about that shop. They are bad new if you ask me. Let me ask this, you paid with a credit card, have you disputed the charge with the credit card yet?
