All the 5 speed owners, next time your sitting in your car solo, hit the stick shift straight down with a open hand and let me know if the whole car kinda bounces with it. Cause mine does and it scares me. Thanks in advance.

I just tried it and all that happened was the shifter moving down about a quarter of an inch. That sounds crazy. What year do you have?

I have a 98 with about the same mileage, 56k. Maybe its a sign of good transmission mounts. And mine have jsut craped out.

mined did it too. more so with the stock shifter. i just put in a short shifter, but it still does it, but not as bad.

my car has over 120k but the transmission is out of a '97 and has about 40k on it

i went and did it, and nothing happened. it didn't go down or anything. wonder if its cause i have an auto? hmm i know you said all you 5-speed owners, but i was like well, lets see if it does it. lol just kidding, i didn't really do that. if i had a 5-speed tho, i would. but, when i get my 5-speed in, i'll do it:)
