noob question i guess

reason why i'm asking is because i saw a 1st gen sedan today with some nasty looking lenses.. i mean fogged up pretty badly.. is this common with the car? and is it easy to get rid of?

My 05 has very slight fogging, but it might actually be road debris that has marred the surface.

Autozone sells plastic polish that should do the trick.

My '04 fogs like San Francisco. Maguiars Plastic X does the trick every time.

Most plastics will eventually cloud unless properly maintained. Most glass cleaning chemicals will speed the clouding process. The best stuff I have found, by far, is PLEXUS. It is a cleaner and you can use it in place of windex to clean your lenses. It will keep them clean and fog free so you never have to polish them.PLEXUS is what the aircraft industry uses to maintain cockpit windshields. It is expensive, but goes a long way and works perfectly.I think it is only available on line. Do a search of plexus and look for the cheapest seller. I bought three cans on e-bay not too long ago...

the reason you see G's with fogged headlights is because some of the owners don't take care of their G that well... but on my 06 coupe, they don't fog that much... I mean when its pretty humid, i'll see small spots of some fog showing up...

As far as cleaning them, it's gonna take a little bit more time than that of putting armor all on your interior...
