Do KA/SR shortshifters really fit?

I read somewhere that SR and KA shifter assemblies fit on RB transmissions as well. I was wondering if this was BS or not...

a OBX I beleive short shifter fit in ym RB20 transmission. I t was originally on ym KA

all the same. (cant speak for a getrag 6 speed) but the 20/25/ka/sr transmissions use the same shifter.

Yes. I bought a ca18det C's short shifter and I had it originally in my KA and now in my RB transmission.

JCAP are you using a RB20 transmission?

I was under the impression that the KA/SR shifters only worked in the RB20, not the 25

Actually I have a RB20 transmission, but the shifter assy should be the same. I talked with a guy in Japan and he says they all fit, may actually fit RB26 as well.

I forgot could just get my Ka's shifter and see if it fits in the 25s transmission.

I'll try to get this done this week to give a definite answer

as far as I know though, those are universal so you shouldn't have much trouble fitting the shifter with any of those trannies

heh, sorry guys. not only did i forget to write back, but i forgot i have an auto. so till i can find someone in town with a spare shifter, i cant give an exact answer
