my car has been running lean ever since i did the swap. bought couple of things to see if would fix the problem but nothing. so i had some free time today so i start to check the aac valve. i just disconnected the 2 plugs and it started to idle lower and i ran the car like that (just siting on my drive way) and it didn't lean out like it use to. when i plug the aac valve back in it started to lean out like always and when i disconnected it starts to get in the optimal rage of my air/fuel gauge. so i just want to know if running the car like that would cause any problems with the motor. oh and i did notice it was misfiring more than usual and its an s14 sr20det. thanks for any help.

First of all, is your A/F gauge a wideband? The AAC vavle regulates airflow at idle, opens to let air in, closes to keep air out. The ECU regulates the AAC, the ECU could be telling it to stay open too long, causing the lean running. You need to keep it hooked up though. Try taking it out and cleaning it up, google for help with that.

Not for our motors but still for Nissan
