not being a d!ck, but this is actually for any collision.nwmrkt wrote:he means in the event of a rollover, you will not be able to slide/move out of the way because the harness won't allow you two. Whereas the stock 3point will let you move.
Yup so your all 5 point in and flip your car. ..... kinda sucks when the roof goes lower then your head.pedobear-lovin wrote:wtf is with ppl saying no cage no harness? you can just get a harness bar, which is in the exact same location, and serves the exact same purpose, but without all the extra caging. the ONLY danger is improper angel in the harness when you install it. if you install the straps to low in the car, THEN you have a chance of compressing your spine.
just drop the dollar for a harness bar. save your money. plus it does stiffen your car a little.

in a front end collision at impact your seat moves forward, if your seat belt tiedowns on a 4 pt (or 5 pt) harness are on the ground then this will make the force from the harness to your shoulders in a down ward force. this will compress your spine and may cause you to become paralyzed.
harness bars are weak, in a crash they will bend or also break at the mounting points. this will cause your harness to not properly secure you.
stop trying to be cool and get a harness without properly mounting it. cause when your in a wheel chair, it's cool to put your harness on that too.
