Hey guys, big question, when I pull the head off my SR20DET, do I need to replace the metal head gasket allready on it? My friends say no, but I want to be sure. Thanks Chris

Yes, you need to replace it....how many miles are on it?? I replaced mine after about 9,000 miles when i had to pull my head. It's just a good idea to replace something that important anyway.

Bead type head gaskets can theoretically be reused Stopper types can't, spray it with some paint and bolt them in, I have seen people do it but I won't. Just get a new one to be safe.

I've reused my HKS MHG twice and its fine, they don't crush under pressure so they can be reused.

At 200$ I wouldn't just replace it too be safe, although if you have the money sure would be nice.
