I have an RX-7 Series 4 Turbo, and when I put my fingers on the propeller blade and wiggle it, it moves roughly 1-2mm, just a little shake, not super movement, but since I have no previous experience with turbos, I want to make sure that 1-2 mm of play is normal, someone let me know. Thanks again.

Hey nobody frikkin answered this guy?I have an S4 turbo that is smoking oil pretty badly and I am wondering about rebuilding it too. I want to get a rebuild kit for around $100, and try to do it myself. Any advice, suggestions? Also, has anyone had personal experience rebuilding turbos? Come on guys, someone has got to be able to respond adequately!

The only turbo Ive ever touched was on a 100k mile Z31 T3. Its comp wheel had NO wiggle at all...

my z31 turbo has about 1-2mm of play as well, but supposedly, it came from a running z31.. so I think it would be alright.

My RX-7 S4 turbo also wiggles very little, but it smokes. It needs a rebuild. Now does anyone have any rebuild experience? We need to make a sticky about turbo rebuilds!
