Well when i bought my car it did not have a motor in it. The motor came with the car but has a fist size hole in th block. I was wondering if there was anything i needed to keep of the motor? I heard that to retain cruise i need my KA throttle body. Is there any KA Accessories i need to keep? I know about the AC Compressor. but what about other stuff like hoses and brackets and such.?

ThanksShawn

you need your speed sensor from the transmission. I also used my reverse and neutral positioning sensors off the KA transmission. You'll need the one dash plug from your wiring harness. You need to keep your A/C compressor if you don't want/have (SOHC) to modify the hardlines.

Honestly, just keep your KA around, so that you can pull stuff off of it if you need it. On mine, there was a bracket that I pulled off to support my airfilter, and another one to support my oil catch tank. It's not the greatest thing, but if you have a drill, you can make pretty much any support bracket you need.

so if i decide to have a shop do it i should take the old motor with the car? The wirring harness and transmission are still in it. I just haven't decided if i am going to do it or not.

ThanksShawn
