I just wanted to know if I need to buy the core when I buy a starter, because as of the moment my car doesn't turn on.

Thanks for your help...

it is a GIVEN to be charged a core for making sure you bring your old one in the box for the manufacturer to rebuild/resell the unit...

unless u want to keep that old/non-working unit fo yourself <shrugs>

you can either buy the starter and pay the core then go home and install the new one in under an hour, then drive back and get ur money back for the core, or take the starter out go to the autoparts store and bring it so no core fee. autozone should be around 120 bucks before you add core charges.
