Hey I have been observing some uneven tire wear for some time now and I'm thinking it could be an issue with the alignment, but i'm not sure because I havent hit any huge pot holes hard or done anything suspension related besides add new rims and tires that are about the same height as the stockers. The tire wear is mainly on the outside of all the tires and center and inside look good.

Yeah you probably do need one. I remember when I went in to get my alignment, the guy raised my car and said "yeah you definetely need an alignment" He told me that just by looking at my tires and how uneven the wear was, is how he could tell an alignment was needed.

Are you taking corners real quick because that will eat the front outside edges real quick, but for the rears i have no clue. I would go get it aligned if i were you or atleast have a professional look at it.

IB are you experiencing outside tire wear as well?

I do corner hard sometimes and I guess that would make sense cause the rear outsides are more worn than the fronts and I just rotated them about 1k ago...

Should i still get an alignment done? Don't some places offer a free alignment check or something just so I can be sure its the alignment before I fork over the $$$$

well dude if you just rotated them 1k ago, I would have to say that you dont need an alignment its you style of drivng you need to change. it all makes sense. You could try buying tiers that arent as soft but you would loose traction. BUT......is it really more of a fun race car on the weekends, a daily commuter, or a show car?

I'm seeing it on the outside of the tires, but on rest of the tires I've got tons of life left. I still have those stupid stock Bridgestones on the back, and they're worn to about where my second set of front tires are. Tread wear rating of 520... truly, truly, truly outrageous! I need to have a blow-out or something to get an excuse to replace them. :( ...with new rims, too.
