I'm going to rebuild my motor with eagle rods and forged CP pistons with stock compression and bore. Do I need a tune? The head will be stock besides having a port and polish. Stock turbo with just bolt ons also.

You could always use a tune if you wanna make more power, but if your keeping stock specs with the stock turbo at stock boost then u don't have to have a tune, no. You could always get a stock tune to make more power tho and if ur gonna build the bottom end u might as well throw a little more boost in the mix, maybe like 10-12 psi.

so the fact that it's forged shouldn't really matter much with the tuning

when you build your bottom end, if you keep your stock bore size and factory compression ratio, your not building more power your just building reliabilty so when you give it a higher boost setting your bottom end dosent break.
