Do I need a knock sensor?

You guys know what I'm doing with my engine (fully-built boosted KA).

Dumb question is, my current KS is cracked - Do I need a new one? Or will my engine management supercede the need for such a primitive device?

if you are going to be using stock ECU or even a tuned one.. I'd get one.

i have been meaning to call jwt to see if they still have the knock sensor function with their ecu's. i know the IAT sensor gets dumped, yet i still have mine in

I know MSD makes one.Only company? It come with display or just to tap into your ecu.I have safc so could I route the signal straight to it?

Don't know if this helps. I spoke with jwt last week about my knock sensor coding and they said the timing retard function for the knock sensor was turned off.
