so in a few months my 240 will be done and ill be at around 450 whp. i was thinking about running a set of ssr type-c 17x10.5 +15 in back, and 17x9.5 s in the front. the only options on the 17x9.5 are +29 and +65. would the +29 fit right? do i even need 10.5in wide in the rear?

How much torque?10.5 would allow you to run a wider tire.Like, 275 and even 305 with ease.I stickier tire in a smaller size could be just as beneficial though. As far as 9.5 +29 up front?I know for a fact they won't fit with coilovers.Don't know about struts.

I agree with everything Panda said. 9.5+29 won't clear front coilovers for sure. I think really wide tires are overrated. I have seen Silvia Time Attack cars on Tsukuba with 500hp running no wider that 265 rubber. Hell, the Pentroof Z32 wangan racer has 800hp and runs stretched 255's on a 10 inch wheel.

Some sticky 265's in the the rear should be fine. Maybe some 245's up front.

ka-t and im expecting around 440 tq at best and yes i have bc coils.so maby i should find a diferent set of wheels if thats all the options ssr has. volk te37's 17x9.5 +12 in back and 17x9 +15 should be fine right? would that fit well with stock fenders and a little roll in the back?

Thats very similar to the setup I plan to run next. You're gonna need more than a roll if you wanna run 245/265 stagger on those offsets. But it can be done! I hope you're not afraid of fender pulling and negative camber!

I'm planning this for my next setup:17x9+12 with 235/40/1718x9.5+15 with 255/35/18

I know I'm gonna need to get a little innovative in order to fit that under stock fenders without totally mangling my pristine metal. The primary trick that I'll be using to pull this off is using a tire brand that runs smaller than some other brands but offers superior grip. That, when combined with mild rolling/pulling and mild negative camber, should get the job done.

The same should apply for your proposed setup... add a little more since you intend to run just a bit wider than I plan to.
