So I'm getting everything ready to turbo my car and i was just wondering, do i have to have an intercooler. I plan on using one eventually, I just don't have the money right now

its best to have one, hell run an sr20 sidemount if you have to for awhile. but you dont HAVE to run one, just keep the boost low until you do have one

Oddly enough the greddy kit for the 240 actually doesn't use a intercooler, and that kit is 3500$ Of course there is a 1500$ upgrade to add one, but the bone kit runs 6 psi without one.

To answer the question: No.But should you for power AND safety purposes: Yes.

You'll have to run less boost and retard the timing a bit for added safety.

Not extracting the heat from the compressed air is counter productive because the idea with turbo charging is to gain a lot of power.

IMO if your plans were to not use an intercooler with the turbo kit then you may as well skip the turbo kit and spend half the money on NO2 and get more power than a non-intercooled kit will get you.

NO you do not have one from the factory!But you can pick up one for pretty cheap like a few hunderd dollars with piping.
