Just want to make sure I've got everything I need so far to boost.

S13 SR20DETRocker Arm StoppersGT2540R .86 A/R turbo38mm Tial Wastegate740cc InjectorsZ32 MafEnthalpy ECUGreddy Profec B Spec II Autometer Guages: Oil Pressure, EGT, Water Temp

Everything else is stock. I should be able to go around 18psi with this setup on pump gas (91), right? Enthalpy and everyone tells me around 330whp? Is there some other critical part I should have?

Just want to make sure I didnt forget somthing before I break something.

I'll be getting a Head gasket, Cams, Valvesprings, etc. on the next round, for now I'm just running it like this.

Also, How high should i be able to boost with this setup on pump gas and racegas? (opinions)

Thanks............

Are you planning on using the stock manifol with an external gate?

Also did you weld the internal gate flap closed in the turbo?

Yup, internal gate is welded shut. Stock manifold... Check it out...

It works fine, but I've only boosted it to like 8psi till I get more fuel..

Hell ya that's boomz racing strut bar!! It was the best mod i've ever done. You can't beat $16.99!!!

lol

Anyway, basically you've got to cut a hole in the top of the stock manifold, then weld the external wastegate where the hole is.. and seal the turbo's stock wastegate (if it has one) shut so it won't do anything. I only wish my wastegate was black so it does not look as bling. I might paint it... But I figured it would look like **** if I did. Anyway, Garageworks did my manifold http://www.garageworksltd.com. Check them out...

I didnt like it at first, but now I love the sound of my external gate it vents to he outside. So after about 4400rpm when I spool it's crazy loud. You can't even hear the turbo (helps the sleeper status).

Good stuff. I'm runnig and external gate on a stocker as well, it works awesome and doesn't look bad at all. I'd say you have everything you need except maybe a boost gauge. You probably have one, just wasn't on your list.

I don't. I just use the one on the boost controller, which is in the ash tray. Sleeper remember? lol.. I've got my 3 gauges below my Stereo, i've gotta get some sort of cover for them.. And my Turbo timer is down near my pedals (where I can see it) with tape over the window so it does not produce light. So the only thing you can see when I've got the ash tray closed is the 3 gauges.

How high should I be able to boost on pump gas and on race gas? I don't want to break anything but i'm not a wuss. I just need an idea.

I would HIGHLY suggest a head gasket. I have talked to you before and your setup is awsome (and just like what I want), but I just can't see how that stock gasket will hold for long at those boost levels.

I am putting one on a friends SR this weekend and he is only going with a S15 turbo.

It's really a matter of tuning. The stock HG will last just fine at those boost levels provided you're not getting pre-ignition/detonation, which I would trust scott's tunes to not do.

As for boost levels, I would personally keep it around 16psi or so on 91 octane and run it on up to 20-21psi on 100 octane, but I usually err very much on the conservative side.

Also, if anyone is interested in a stock manifold w/ a tial 38mm, I've got mine for sale.

What manifold did you switch over to for the new turbo?

Back to a stock manifold. I've heard of a few too many turbos getting destroyed (speak to enthalpy or movingviolation) by autocrack manifolds falling apart.

I did however put on one of the $80 megan racing o2 housings.
