Okay I've done my searches, but still am cunfused, maybe I have a mix of both series 1 and 2 which would be bad.

I was told I have a Seires 2 from who I bought it from, but I'm skeptical a little on what I have So help me out.

Ignitor Chip: there is no ignitor chip to be found mounted on the valve cover in the back as I've seen in series 1 pics and no ignitor chip that I recieved, BUT there is a metal bracket back there along with the two mounting holes in the coil pack cover.

MAF: The MAF was pluged into the harness, so I know it goes with that harness (unless you can put series 1 and 2 interchangably with each others harnesses?) There are 3 wires (S2) going into the harness clip and 3 prongs inside plugin on the MAF.

ECU: Part # 23710 21U01

The whole uncut harness is not separate from the engine, it has the coils run under the cover and still plugged into the engine. Everything looks untouched as far as cover being removed.

So does everything sound right for a Series 2?

no igniter = series 2

simple as that. if the coilpack harness plugs directly into the engine harness its a series 2.
