I get to school today and when i park in the parking lot i smelt something burning,so as i exit the car, my passenger side was smoking, so i pop the hood and find oil all over the power steering reservior, intake, air filter, and a small smudge on the headers. I have a stock ka24de and just ordered a blitz nurspec r but hasent arrived yet. when i come back to my car 2 hours later, i found no leaks under the car, but there was oil on the drivers fender. There is oil coming out from block, and last time i checked the oil, it was low but had bubbles on the dipstick, i added some mobil 1 10w30 super syn and was fine but still looked alittle black, which means it was burning oil. HELP!!!!!!!! ANY BODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS, i am having a mechanic check it out tom. morning on my b-day but hes only charging me an hour to look at it. ill let you know tom. w/ some more info but let me know any good shops on the peninsula in the BAy area CA. thanx give me some input and if any1 could help me do this let me know.

Dont think you have a blown head gasket. Could be as simple as a leaking oil pressure switch. It is under pressure and will spray oil when it goes bad. If you have a blown head gasket then you would either have oil in the water or water in the oil unless it blew between two cylinders and then it would missfire. If its not running bad then its probably not blown. Hard to diagnose a car in cali from fla but i tryed

I have driven cars with blown head gaskets, every one is different. Water and oil mixing in either the radiator or oil pan are the sure signs, sudden increase in water temp as well. Doing a head gasket is a pain so be absolutely sure before you do it.

thanx for the reply, ill find out some more info but i dont feel a loss in power so i might be a valve gasket which i am hoping, how much do u think that would cost to replace w/ 89.00 an hour. but thanx and i hope its not the worst b/c i dont think a head gasket would crack all of a sudden if this whole car is maintained very well...

well i talked to a mechanic today and they say that i might of left my oil cap not turned all the way so that's what might have oil come out and spew mostly on the right side of the car. but i just need a place to spray down the engine b/c some parts are really dirty and i think i havea leak in the power steering. well everything is running fine and ill post some more info if anything happens

You may have a blown out rear Muffler bearing, or worse yet Front muffler bearing! You better get a mechanic that charges about 100/hr to see if he can work on it with his regular tools and wont need to get special Metric hammers and left handed screw drivers.....:D
