Do I even need this?

The other day, I bought a new air filter (One of the HKS lokking ones), but it didn't come with the maf adapter plate. Do I even need one, or can I put it on without it? It looks like there is already one on the inside of my airbox. Is this good, or should I just buck it up and spend the $10 on one? Thanks

I just went out and looked, and there's no way it'll work out. Laziness, the mother of inspection. *shrugs* I'll just have to spend a little green at pdm-racing I guess.

lol I put mine in without the plate, I just shaved some of the rubber baffle off the filter and put it in and put some high temp silicon sealent around the edge and it works fine. Alittle backwards egineered I know but dammit it works
