Hi All,

I recently bought a 1986 Nissan 720. Am I in the correct forum? I know the Datsun 720 and mine are basically the same truck. I want to make sure.

Thanks!

1986 was the year Nissan introduced the D21 Hardbody but many of the 720s were sold as 1986 models too. The Z24 engine was common to both. If you have a hardbody then you will find good info here about your motor but info about the body will not be as useful as the D21 Hardbody section. Show us a pic of your truck or at least tell us what the headlights look like, (are they dual each side or single?). Either way, you are welcome anytime.

You belong here! I'm in the same boat as you, my truck is one of the very last ones out of the factory before they went to the hardbody style!

Thank you everyone! This site is amazing. You guys/girls have a ton of good information here. I hope to share any tips that I may come across to give a little back.

This is my first Nissan and dually. I did the essential and bought a Hanes manual, (thought the vacuum diagram I was wanting was in it, isn't in there...)

I will start my build thread soon. This truck was/is a mess and I am cleaning it up the best I can. (Thank God for Pull-A-Part!!!)

The biggest issue and future project is the transmission. 5th gear pops out sometimes, so I hope to pull it and rebuild it next summer.

Anyways, I guess this stuff should be in my build thread....

If you're in the right place? right as rain. We don't have many duallys so welcome and keep the pics coming as you go along. :werd:
