do all J30s have VLSD?

i tried searching, or maybe i'm too dumb, but does every j30 have vlsd? there are a few at a junkyard near me and i was just wondering. if not, what j30s come with it?

They are all lsd but they are not all the same output shaft pattern. You will need to get the one that has the matching bolt pattern as your car or you will need to also get the half-shafts that go with the diff.

Just because a VLSD came on a car doesn't mean it is still functional..........common for high mileage abused VLSD especially in snow country to have failed or weakened.The plates and viscous liquid may be warped or chemically changed.

Drop one tire off the pavement with one still on and punch it.

or you could just jack the back up and spin one of the tires, and if they both spin it works..
