Hmmm, I have not found the seat heater yet. I guess I did not look for it. Where are the heater buttons located?

ASP = active suspenstion?

I think that might only come on the q45t but I am not sure for year 1996.

Behind the shifter and in front of the armrest, you see 3 buttons/switches, the ones on the outer sides are the heated seat switches and the one left of center is for the TCS. I didn't think any 96's had the active suspension.

Hope this helps.

Were heated seats and traction control an option on a 96? I dont think I have that, I will take a ride to the shop tomorrow and double check. I think I have a little storage bin for change there.

From a web site

Quote »The 1996 Infiniti Q45 is available as a single model. Standard safety features include dual airbags, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), front and rear headrests and child safety locks. The engine is a 4.5-liter V8 producing 278 horsepower. Standard features include a sunroof; power windows, door locks and trunk release; dual power front seats; and a keyless entry system. A Q45t Touring Package that includes alloy wheels, heated front seats, a rear stabilizer bar, rear spoiler, and a CD changer is also available.[/quote]Okay, the 96 didn't have 278hp, so not sure how accurate the balance of the info is, but it didn't show Active as an option??

Nothing as helpful as mis-information :D.

LOL you got to love misinformation.

What is the HP on a 96 Q?I hope I have traction contral since its my wife that will be driving the car. If it does not I need to get her something else since that would be way to much for her with out TC.

From what you've described, it sounds like you don't have TCS as if there's no heated seats nor TCS, then there's a small change area like this ...

As for the HP in a 96, IIRC it's in the 260's versus the rated/claimed 278 of the 94/95. You can find lots of discussion about a Japanese car manufacturer's agreed upon 278 max rating that makes some think the 278 rating is actually an under-rating. The difference in hp between the 94/95 & the 96 is due to the 96 not having VVT (Variable Valve Timing).

1996 Q45 still had the claimed 278HP, but active suspension was not offered on it that year, nor on any t model in any year.

I believe heated seats were still standard on the t model, but don't know for a fact, nor do I know about the avaialability of TCS, but see no reason why it wouldn't be an option.

Ive seen some ones that have the factory spoiler and Q45t emblem but arent true Q45t..

Every real Q45t ive seen has the BBS rims, TCS and heated seats...

I've heard that the 1990 was 300hp, and by 1996 was 278hp.
