Do a/c winter tires fit on any other make/model? (other than Nissan)

I have a pair of michelin alpin 16 steelies and want to use them next year on an `09 a/c,,,, but if I can't afford that car,,,,,,,,, will the wheels tires work on say a civic, gti, scion, etc?

I've never understood exactly how to compare the different wheel/tire specs.
