I am looking at springs and sway bars. I can find them for the 510 but not the 620. Can I use the 510 stuff?

The 510 has independant rear suspension with coil springs.

The 620 has a solid rear axle and leaf springs.

The answer is not without some serious mods.

Thank you. Do they make these parts for the 620? Do you know where I might find some? (Springs and sway bars)

early 620s had a front swaybar. later ones i dont think do but were optional. as for springs, no clue. the only springs are the rears. the front is torsion bars.

Ok. Thanks. I want to lower the truck slightly. Maybe 1 1/2 inches in the front and 1 in the back. How can I go about lowering it without sacrificing much of the ride quality?

Thanks for your help.

Lowering by adjusting the torsion bars in cake in the front, they have a pretty linear rate, so, as long as you keep it off the bumpstops, the spring rate will stay the same, no matter the ride height. in the rear, a set of lowering blocks simply moves the axle, again, no change in spring rate. Same ride. Make sure to have your alignment checked after lowering it, may not need adjustment. I have had good luck with pulling my bars out, moving them one spline lower and re-tensioning them. gives a 1.5" drop or so. and they're still at full tension. Good luck
