I appreciate the love Domdada...
as Domdada stated, it can definately be done... just get thew scosche line out converter (FAI-3 or SLC-4) and you'll be good to go. You can actually get these at wal-mart for ~ 19.99..
these will allow you to dial down the signal leaving your DNX-8120 going to the Bose Amp... this way, you can still get full range volume control.... if you don't use the line out converter... your music will be blasting at like volume 7 or 8 and will then begin to distort...
one guy on here had his aftermarket unit installed, but the installers told him he didn't need it, installed the unit without the line out converter.. then he had the volume problems i mentioned... so the guy had to take it back to them, and have it installed the way it should have been installed the first time.
SO, DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER... when you get the DNX-8120 installed, insist that they install the scosche SLC-4 or FAI-3 unit and dial down your volume CORRECTLY the first time.
I'm not yelling at you, I'm yelling at your dumb a$$ ignorant installers at the dealership!!!!
Also, one good thing about the DNX-8120, is that it has built in 15 band crossovers for the center, rear, front, and subwoofer... AND it has a built in Equalizer to fine tune your audio system. This is comparable to a JL audio clean sweep or a rockford fosgate 360.1 ... the reason I mention this is because the Bose headunit and amp and speakers work in unison, and the amp frequencies are set in terms of what signals it send to each speaker... installing aftermarket headunits with Bose amp and speakers and mess up this delicate balance, but your DNX-8120 can be fine tuned to work flawlessly again!
So congrats on a wondeful purchase and WELCOME 2 NICO....
Don't just pop your head in, stick around and learn more about your car from all the great guys on this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!
