!!! A friend of mine got this, and it lived up to all the hype and reviews around it. It is amazing! Anyways I have a quick Q on behalf of my friend. Driving around in night time, the screen can be semi- distracting, he was wondering if there was some way to make the screen turn off (go black). He said with the last deck he had he could hold a button down and the screen would turn off until you touch the screen again. Any way to do this on the 8120?

After I make some money I'm definitely getting this piece of wonderful equipment... /drool :rockband

Yes I agree, the 8120 is every bit as good as the reviews say it is... regarding his unit...

if he hooked up the illumination wire, then there's an option to dim the unit when the headlights turn on.. thus, at night, the screen will dim just like the navigation screen should be doing!

In his monitor setup screen from the main menu (when pressing the third button from the left and hitting the setup button) there is a monitor setup sub menu. In there, he can adjust the "dim mode" to be on, off, synced with the headlights, or Synced when the Nav unit is in day/nightime mode!

If these options are not available, then his illumination wire needs to be hooked up to the illumination wire on the factory harness (NOT THE ORANGE WIRE ON THE METRA ADAPTER)
