I used to have this issue with my old pioneer unit..it neded to be sent in to be fixed... IMO, rather than keep trying to find out what the problem is, I would just send it back and get a new unit.... no sense in wasting time trying to find the answer... it doesn't sound like an external onnection issue, more rather an internal one like Applebonker stated... and if that's the case, its not something you could fix... sound like a problem on the circuit board... again, we could speculate all day, but I'd definately say just save time and send it back
