this may not be the place for this but, how many owners of Q45 live in the Washington dc/Maryland/Virginia area? preferably closer to dc? thought of maybe getting some type of thing going like drive, barbeques or something. maybe a local support thing when it comes to parts and such. i myself am located in rockville,md

That's a good idea for sure. We're kind of spread all over the country though..

NICO is planning nice meet in the Smokey Mountains (Tail of the Dragon Ride) Labor day weekend. That is a hike from the Beltway but the closest future club meet that I have seen.

yeah. im always reading about guys who live in Cali, or Texas, but when i do a search for parts in MD. i get 2 results. so im the only owner in the metropolitan area. not good for part searches. sometime soon, ill be redoing my rear because of rust. i mean better control arms and hubs, new bushings and shocks. im not even going to attempt a rust reduction with a sand blaster. wont be much metal left. luckily the frame is in much better condition.

A 91 arrived at the Pick-n-Pull in Virgina Beach, VA on 7/20.

Prices at pick-n-pull in LR are about 2x higher than pull-a-part in Memphis. Though around here the p-n-p cars are usually in considerably better shape. I'm usually the only person that picks anything from a Q45 before the car goes to the crusher.

the only p-n-p i know of here in MD. is crazy rays. not a bad place to go, especially since they have 4 or 5 different yards. the problem is they dont record what comes and goes. 2 of their yards are pretty big and the others are in the Baltimore area which is any where from an hour to hour and a half drive from where i live. it gets very tiring walking them big yards hoping to find one still complete and i don't want to drive way out for nothing. the one yard i do go to is mount airy here in MD. ive had decent luck with them. what really irates me is when you not looking, all you could ever want is there. when you need it, its no where. that's how its been lately. before, this yard in bmore had 5 q45's. 3 90-93 an 2 94-96. one a 93 had the 94 grilled front end. according to the door jam info. it was manufactured in 93. im definitely at some point going to convert my front end to 94-96.
