This came up on another forum, I have to say I never thought about this service/even DIY on my last coupe and put over 180k/km on it.

I have 80k/km on my '08 Coupe 3.5SE, thinking about trying to DIY this when we get good warn weather this month.

I Googled it, looks easy but the concern/what I read is the Engine Light coming up afterwards.

Looking for tips/write-up on this for VQ35DE. Thanks.

If you are going to do a throttle body cleaning do it just before an oil change and use carburetor or throttle cleaner safe for O2 sensors.

Warm up engine, all off, take intake conduit off take pictures if not familiar for replacing. Put rag below throttle intake. Spray intake in and around with cleaner. Wipe up black run off, open throttle plate spray in on top and bottom of plate let throttle plate down wait a few minutes.

With a tooth brush open throttle plate use brush at circumference of plate clean both sides and mating area around throttle horn, release throttle, wait a couple minutes, then respray in side horn and outside of throttle at spring ets to clean linkages.

Wait 2 minutes then remove rag with run off, blow dry the outside linkages and re install the conduit. Make sure all things are connected and snug then start the engine, may take a few time. Allow to idle, some crap and vapors will come out of the exhaust.

Now change the oil/filter.
